The New Cellars - Christ the Saviour

The 13th century was already dominated by the Gothic style, and the cathedral in Olomouc was rebuilt in it after a fire in 1265. It is from this period that the statue of Christ the Saviour dates. It was probably originally placed above the western entrance to the cathedral as the central figure of the portrayal of the Last Judgment.
