In the chapel you can also admire the sculpture of Christ on the Mount of Olives from the Church of St. Maurice in Olomouc, which is one of the most important sculptures of the late Gothic period in Central Europe. The apparition of Christ, who prays alone, while his associates - the apostles Peter, John, and James the Elder - have fallen asleep, are among the important sacred themes. This Olomouc sculpture is the oldest preserved example of its kind in Europe. Its restoration proved that the characters were once coloured in harmonious shades of red, blue, green and white, as was usual at the end of the 14th century.
